Card Class

As I mentioned in a previous post, I held another card class over the weekend.  The group were amazing and they actually (without them even knowing it) gave me some inspiration to create some more cards.  But first, here are a couple of the cards we made:

My colour combination here was melon mambo (Brights collection), gumball green (2012-2014 In-Color collection) and whisper white (Neutrals collection).  The other products used were:

*Brights DSP stack (117155)
*Perfect polka dots embossing folder (117335)
*Mouthwatering stamp set (W 125675 / C125677)
*Melon mambo polka dots ribbon (retired)
*Word window punch (119857)
*Modern label punch (119849)
*Rhinestone basic jewels (119246)
*Teeny tiny wishes - my go to greeting stamp set (W 115370 / C 127802)

The colour combination on this card is summer starfruit and midnight muse (2012-2014 In-color) and soft suede (Neutrals collection).  The other products used are:

*Comfort cafe DSP (126898)
*Layered labels (W127070 / C127072)
*Papillon potpourri (W123757 / C123759)
*Apothecary accents framelits (127003)
*Large oval punch (119855)
*Elegant butterfly punch (127526)
*2 1/2 circle punch (120906)
*Naturals designer buttons (127554)
*Hemp twine (retired)

This card goes against the grain for me in terms of style, but I was quite pleased with the result.  My inspiration again was a sketch mojomonday.blogspot.com.  I have decided to use this card as my swap card for an upcoming swap I am participating in.  I did make a couple of modifications to the swap card as I only put one butterfly on the card and I used natural linen thread (104199) instead of the hemp twine as only current products could be used.  I hope this gives people ideas on how to use summer starfruit though as I have read that some people are struggling with this colour and I promise, it's actually a lot of fun to use!

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the cards, if you would like to order any of the products, or if you would like to join my next class!
